WHY CHOOSE GET A GRANNY TO SIT YOUR HOME OR PET?

Get a Granny is Reliable, Trustworthy and Always Available and that’s why we recommend you choose us. While having friends, family, or neighbours care for your pets may seem like a logical choice, Get a Granny do this for a living and have the experience necessary to care for your animals and have taken extra steps to put your pets needs first. Hiring a pet sitter is a serious process. Make sure when choosing a pet sitter that they always have your pets needs and safety at heart and Get a Granny does. We will not only be responsible for your pet, but also will have regular access to your home.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A CASE OF EMERGENCY?

The Grannies are trained to handle emergency situations, depending on the emergency, we will contact you immediately to discuss your choice of action, however in some cases, especially when it comes to life or death for your pet, we will immediately seek veterinary care and then be in touch as soon as we know your pet is in the care of a veterinary professional.

HOW DO WE KNOW WE CAN TRUST THE SITTER CARING FOR OUR PETS/ HOME?

We always request that we meet with our families a week before the day you booked our services, so we can meet the pets and you can meet us personally. You can then decide if you are still happy with choosing Get a Granny.  We also have credible references to vouch for us from previous sits that use our services constantly.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?

We are available in all areas around Cape Town CBD, Northern Suburbs, Gordons Bay and Surrounding Areas, Southern Suburbs. We do have areas we service on our contact page for more info.

WILL THE SAME SITTER BE ALLOCATED TO OUR BOOKINGS EACH TIME?

Yes. We believe in placing the same sitter with each family every time our services are needed because that sitter has already built a bond with your animal and developed a trust relationship which makes it easier and less stressful on your pet, as well as the family.

WHAT MAKES YOUR SERVICES SO SPECIAL / DIFFERENT?

Our business has been actively trading since 2021, we constantly push ourselves to improve on our service delivery and gain new knowledge within the pet care industry to be able to offer only the best care to our clients. Get a Granny will go above and beyond for our clients, making their pet care needs take top priority. We commit to being available 365 days of the year, which means that our clients can have peace of mind when having to leave their pets at home.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR SERVICE PACKAGES?

Our pet care packages are focused on the health, safety & wellbeing of our clients pets, we care for the pet’s needs above everything else, this includes, but are not limited to: Visiting pets as per package selected, physical & mental stimulation, feeding as required & freshening up of water, cleaning up of litterboxes / dog poop, regular updates accompanied by photos / videos sent to client via WhatsApp.

DO WE HAVE TO PROVIDE MEALS FOR OUR SLEEP IN SITTER?

No, Get a Granny provide their own meals when staying in / sleeping in at a client’s home. All we ask is that the sitter have access to coffee/ tea / sugar / milk / fresh water / cooldrink. Of course, these will be used in moderation.

CAN WE MEET THE SITTER BEFORE WE COMMIT TO USING THE SERVICE?

Of course, yes. We always recommend meeting our new clients beforehand so we may get acquainted and gain the animals trust, as well as the clients. We ask to meet at least a week before the sitting date is booked.

HOW COMFORTABLE ARE GET A GRANNY WITH INDOOR & OUTDOOR CAMERAS IN OUR HOME?

We welcome additional security measures and have no issues with cameras, however Get a Granny  have a reasonable expectation of privacy in certain areas on our client’s property, therefore we ask that no recording devices be placed in bathrooms or bedrooms, where the Grannies will be sleeping during their stay – we ask that you kindly respect their privacy and inform our Grannies of any cameras / recording devices placed in other areas in or around your home.

WHAT IF WE DON’T HAVE PETS, CAN WE STILL BOOK YOUR SERVICES?

Our services are not limited to pets only; we also offer House Sitting services and also basic garden/ indoor plant care.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We prefer EFT payments, its affordable, reliable & safe. Please discuss with us should you not have EFT facilities.
